My UPS man rocks!

Any Stampin' Up! Demo that has a good UPS man is a happy SU! Demo!

Luckily, I've had a few great UPS guys and the current one is the best. He delivers to my work too, so if he knows I have an order on the truck, he'll bring it into work for me! I saw this punch art guy on Marie's blog and just had to make one for him. How stinkin' cute are they? She has great directions on her blog, so I didn't do them over.

The first one (Mike) has spikey hair, just like IRL. The other one is an extra that I made as I didn't want to give my only one away and not have one to show off anymore, lol!

I LOVE the idea Marie had to use the tiny SU label from the grid paper as the package labels!

Merry Christmas!

Gift Card Beanie

I've had a very busy day (week, month...). It's crunch time and I'm trying to get all those nagging little projects done. Speaking of nagging, this one is for my MIL, lol!
This is a beanie gift card holder. The top swivels up to reveal the gift card underneath. It was a recent challenge at a stamping site I visit. I started with a 5" circle cut with my circle scissors plus. Then cut that circle in half, adhere one half to the back of the white scalloped strip (5 x 1.5), then use a brad to attach the second half-circle on. Decorate and insert a gift card. This design was inspired by the pretty, velvety gift card from wal-mart. When DH saw it, he said... "cool, did you make it". I love that he thinks I'm THAT talented :) The ribbon got a little messed up as I attempted to reposition it and it frayed a bit, but tough luck - I'm sure she won't even notice anyway! If I don't get a change to get back on before Christmas, please have a wonderful, safe and happy holiday with your family and friends!

new blog siggy too!

Here is the new blog signature that I made with My Digital Studio to go with my new blog background and header. Look! It's the flourish from Baroque Motifs, the scallop circle punch, the modern label punch, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon, brocade pretty in pink paper and basic black brads all in digital format! If you are interested in the My Digital Studio software, check it out here! Hopefully soon I'll have enough time to play with the program enough so I can do some blog tutorials on MDS (My Digital Studio).

trying a new blog background made with MDS!

It took some time and some help from a really nice SCSer by the name of Motherof6, (thanks Debbi!), but I finally got it to work.... sorta. I wanted the sides to show more pink paper, but I'm lovin' it so far! What do you think? Can't wait to play some more :)

Mr. & Mrs. Rudolph - Triangle boxes

We made a rudolph triangle box last week at my christmas giftables class. While at the class, we used the snowflakes on another project and one of the girls mentioned that it would look cute on the deer. I agreed and made Rudolph a little ms. after class. Too cute or what? The box started as a 10 x 5 sheet of close to cocoa. The antlers are made with the Stampin' Up! Scribble Swirl die (love that thing), the eyes are small ovals topped with half of a large oval and the lashes are made using one "sprig" of the snowflake punch. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Giftable Class Dec 2, 2009

I can't believe it's DECEMBER already! December.... really?!? It did snow this morning, so I guess it really is official! Tomorrow night I'll be having a Quick and Easy Christmas giftables class.
Here are some of the projects that will be featured. Sorry about all the background "junk".
There is a stocking gift card holder, a 3-d ornament package decoration. a hershey kiss holder (the long blue thing) and a reindeer triangle gift box. Hope the attendees like them :) Have a great day - hope it includes some stamping for you while I'm at work!
