Hey Everyone! Hope you day is going well. I've had quite a nice day to myself in the rubber room. I took today off from work today as my birthday holiday and I've spent it playing with ink - yeah! I made some glittered ornaments for tomorrow's craft fair at Orchard Hall. Love these things - they are a bit of work, but worth it. Here's the tree - in true redneck fashion, only the front it decorated so people don't have to strain (or knock it down) trying to see the ones in the back, lol.
Here's the little topper/price tag I made to go on it. How cute is this little singing reindeer (Jackie Topa's idea) made with punches! I just adore him.
And ewwww.... he's just my left hand after the process! Can you believe that I've even washed my hands prior to to this picture! And, this is the left one and I'm right handed!

Table Display Craft Fair 2009
I'm almost ready - and it's a good thing, the show is next Saturday, lol! I had a hard time setting up my table last year, so I thought I'd take a trial run in the Rubber Room today. Here is what I hope my table will look like next week at Orchard Hall (10-4 for those local). I'm glad I did this trial run! By the time I got all the price tags printed (aren't they cute? I used SU's new My Digital Studio to do them) and all the other little things done, I was well into hour 5!!! Hopefully it won't take me that long to set up next week, lol! Hope to see ya there!
p.s. You can click on any picture to make it bigger ;)

gifts for gram's nurses
My gram is finally progressing well since her surgery (she had her esophagus removed due to cancer) and she's coming home next week! She wanted a little gift to give her favorite nurses. She requested something with angels as she calls them "her angels". This is what I came up with late last night. I had some glass ornaments yet to be altered so I stamped the only angel image I had onto acetate with Staz-on black ink, then I cut it with my circle scissors plus. Before I placed her in the ornament, I covered her wings and robe with some glue and dazzling diamonds glitter and stamped the you are incredible sentiment also. Then, I just rolled it up like a flatbread sandwich and shoved it in and let it unroll. Then I added a little buffalo snow and viola', a personal ornament! I HAD to make a quick box for presentation, so they are not as ornate as I would have liked, but still cute for short notice. Thank you all for your well wishes for Gram - she sure is one tough lady!Posted by Tilly at 7:58 PM 2 comments

The Rubber Room is a Mess!!
I REALLY wanted to stamp today, but first I had to find a surface! So, I got down to business and by the time it took to throw 2 loads of laundry in, I found my counter and table top!
UGH.... (no need to say more)

AAAAHHHHH.... (no need to say more!)

I'll be back later with some proof that I actually did stamp to make that mess. For now, please excuse me while I go mess it up again, lol!

Stampy Wackers Stampin Up! Demo's Meeting - Group Make & Takes
And here is a quick picture of the group make & take projects that we did at the Stampy Wackers Demo Meeting. Aren't they the cutest! I LOVE the bermuda bay and melon mambo colors together and I really like the easy slit punch treatment that this card has. Perhaps I'll do a short tutorial on how to achieve that look. It's something that I have seen around and hadn't yet tried, so I was excited to have a chance to do it (with supervision of course, lol!) The giraffe I just assembled here at home as I didn't have a chance to finish at the meeting, but it was simple to do. The "dots" are actually punched out of the summer sun layer and then placed on top of a choc chip piece... easy peasy! Thanks for stopping in!

Jones School Fall Fun Fair Fundraiser Event
Tonight I am doing a fund raising event at a local school. I was asked to provide some quick make & take projects for adults and kids to complete. This is what I came up with. The adults will be making the triangle treat box with the ornament punch tag. The kids will be offered the bookmark in a variety of colors with either the boy or the girl Build a Bear stamp. I think my station will be next to the build your own teddy bear station, which is why I selected the BAB stamp set.

Stampy Wackers Stampin Up! Demo's Meeting
So this past weekend, I was invited to a demo group meeting. I am an orphaned demo, so I've never had the privilege to attend a demo only meeting... boy I've been missing out! What a great group of ladies that I got to met and stamp the day away with! Thanks for the invite Gayla, and thanks to the head stampy wacker for opening the mtg to us orphans! We were asked to either do a short demo or bring an item for the door prize table. This is the prize that I brought. I've had this white melamine bowl on my counter for a while waiting for a purpose. I cut some letters using the simple letters die out of chocolate vinyl and put them on the front of the bowl. Inside the bowl is a 2-4-6-8 box with a window sheet and a bottle of hand sanitizer with some rub on's. The filler is some of that brown paper that comes with each order. I just shredded it up! The recipient sought me out to thank me and it was one of the first 5 or so gifts chosen! I hope to get some more pictures posted tomorrow of some of the great card front swaps I received!
